Mum. Wife. Photographer. Smiles & calm.
Lover of the countryside, and not bothered one bit about mud.
(Which is just as well!)
I’m Laura and I photograph people and their pets – because not all family has 2 legs.
We have limited time together, and for our pets, this is often even less. That doesn’t mean they play any smaller part though! I count myself so lucky to have found my heart horse Rio – the first horse I could call my own, and a dream I never thought would become reality. Sadly after 6 beautiful years together, at the tender age of 10, I had to make the decision we all dread. My walls at home are filled with happy memories, and special moments captured on the two photoshoots we had, and I want you to be able to have your own unique images to cherish too.
I had always loved the idea of being a photographer, having studied it at college, but then life hit and all thoughts went out the window. Little did I know I would end up back here after taking a slightly longer route.
Often known as the friendly face at the end of the dressage arena, I officially started my business journey in 2016 and was launched head-first into covering a 4-ring flat showing event at short notice. It was a great success, and I went on to cover that same show (with a team!) up to 2021 when I stepped back from event photography. This is when my portrait work took centre stage, and became my focus. Capturing portraits that make you stop and say “wow”. It was also 2021 when I officially launched my Pawtrait sessions, which I ADORE. Hubby is not a dog person at all, so getting out and capturing your special friends gives me so much joy that truly feeds into my work.
Whether I’m photographing dogs or horses, I always aim to capture the essence of their personality and your bond. Thanks to studying with That Photography Spot over recent years, I’ve been able to develop this into a seamless combination of photography and art.
It is in the retouching that the magic truly happens, providing you with a one-off piece of art featuring your best four legged friends. I will be there every step of the way helping you to achieve exactly what you want, and I can’t wait to see what we can create. If you have a horse or dog that is everything to you, why not get in touch now and make a start?
