Your portrait experience

What to expect on your journey to the images you’re dreaming of

Your photo shoot can take place at your choice of location. You can opt to stay in the comfort of your own yard or home, or we can take the show on the road and I can meet you out on location. For example, the beach or local woodland.

We will already have had a chat before my arrival about some of the locations & outfits you like. The first thing we will do on the day is going for a walk around these and decide on a little plan of action. If you don’t think there are many spots we can use, don’t panic! There are so many areas that don’t look ‘all that’ at first glance. I’ve had photoshoots where we haven’t walked more than 10 steps between 4 or 5 different locations, but you’d never know that from the photos!

Your equine photoshoot will be a special and enjoyable experience. It gives you the chance to spend some time bonding with your horse, and for the most part, ignoring me and my camera clicking away!

I’m here to help you feel relaxed and in touch with your horses, and to take some time to remember why you got into this crazy equestrian world in the first place.

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that horses have saved me in many ways and on multiple occasions. You’ll see a lot of my heart horse Rio on my socials, even though I lost him in 2019. He inspired me to start my horse photography journey & genuinely changed my life for the better.

Included in your photoshoot

Welcome pack

Your pack will be sent out to you upon payment of your booking fee. It contains a beautiful custom Haas brush as well as goodies for you and your horse. Your welcome guide is packed full of inspiration and tips for your photoshoot with Laura.

Private online booking portal

The hub of your booking. You will receive login details to the portal after your welcome pack arrives. This is a safe place for all of our correspondence, booking forms and contracts, and you can even upload photos of your horses so I can ‘meet’ them beforehand!

Pre-shoot consultation

A week or so before your photoshoot, if you choose to, we will set up a call so that we can go over the finer details – outfits, possible locations, and any concerns you may have

Your photoshoot (no specific timescale, usually approx 2 hours)

Focussing on creating a variety of heartfelt images with 2 – 3 outfit changes! There’s no clock watching here, with only one portrait shoot scheduled per day as standard, my time is yours for as long as we need. We can also incorporate liberty photos, which I can discuss with you further on our call. For yard or group bookings, timings will be agreed prior to payment, but you can rest assured we will come away with some gorgeous photos for you to choose from.

Private online gallery to keep your images safe

I can bring a small selection of sample products to your photoshoot, so that when you receive your images you have an idea of what is available. Your first edit will be sent across to you in a private password protected gallery, where you can rest assured your photos will be safe whilst you choose your favourites! Orders can be made direct from your gallery, or we can discuss bespoke options and packages if you can’t quite find what you’re looking for. My wonderful photographic printer caters for many different tastes, budgets & decor.
